Principal Enrichment

The PrincipalDetailedSearch API allows users to submit a principal’s information for detailed background verification across third-party and internal data sources.

Current Capabilities: This endpoint currently supports the following data sources:

• Bankruptcies: Individual bankruptcy records

• Liens: Tax and other lien records

• Judgements: Civil judgment records

• Watchlists: Sanctions and watchlist screening

Coming Soon (Not Yet Available): The following features are in development and will be available in future releases:

• Professional License Verification (Healthcare and Home Services)

• Litigation records

• Adverse Media screening

Note: A valid seller_id is required to use this endpoint. You must first run a SellerDetailedSearch to identify the business entity associated with the licensed professional.

Endpoint

POST /v1/principal-detailed

Request Body

• Required fields:

  • first_name, last_name - Principal’s name

  • callback_url - URL to receive the final enriched report

  • principal_category - other

  • merchant_id - Verdata merchant UUID

• Optional fields: Include middle name, suffix, full address, DOB, SSN, NPI ID (for healthcare), phone, email, and licenses for verification.

Note: principal_category is designed to be used with future functionality. Currently, the only accepted input is other .

Processing Notes

• More detailed inputs improve enrichment accuracy.

• Healthcare principals trigger specialized internal matching.

• Typical processing time is 5-10 minutes.
